Playing a slow heavy groove

As part of an ongoing effort, I will post recordings of different grooves, fills, song transcriptions and solos. This is just a simple example of playing a slow, stripped down rock beat and building on that. The time isn’t completely perfect, as it was it was tracked using Rolad V-drums and Garageband. The response is a bit lazy. But it gets the basic idea across, which is just that laying way back  behind the beat and adding some syncopation, can really pull the listener in and support the artist in a way that makes them feel good (if the track calls for that). However, simpler is usually better. I usually hesitate to add more until the artist asks me too. Enjoy!
